Child Birth Prep and Averages

We went to our child birth prep class this weekend. We were late because we had forgotten the pillows they told you to bring and stopped in the store to buy some (which by the way we never used in class and ended up returning...kind of annoying). The class was somewhat helpful and informative but I can't say that I honestly feel a lot more prepared for the big day. It gave us a better idea on the c-section idea and made me feel a little more confident try a regular birth if possible. They had videos of childbirth and surprisingly Jeff and I both agreed this was our favorite part of the class...seeing the babies with the parents after they were born and they were all squirmy and crying. Jeff and I both were a little teary eyed over that.

They gave us a Similac sample pack and some magazines and a educational book too. In the book there was a calendar of growth/development and expectations for pregnancy. At 35 weeks it said this was the average week that most twins were born. Okay what? hehe I know this shouldn't come as a surprise as they do come earlier on average (4-6 weeks is what I've heard). But when that is less then two weeks away...35 weeks seems far too soon. I still don't think the girls are coming that soon but it makes me nervous cause I know I'm not in charge of the time frame.

Jeff and I have taken our own bets on when we think the girls will be arriving. Jeff thinks December 21st or at least before Christmas and I am going for December 28th if it's up to the girls and January 2nd if I still haven't gone and Dr B decides to start me. Goodness...less then a month away. We're definitely excited.

I've been so bad about getting on here to check in on you. I just want you to know that I'm thinking about you and so excited to see pictures of the girls.. xoxo

Just remembering that I won the bet...I guessed right on the money the day the girls were born :)
