Momma Birds...

I recently put a hummingbird feeder out in our backyard.  Anyway...when I was out replacing the "nectar" I heard little chirps from above.  Come to find out we have a little bird nest in our tree.  Robins to be exact.  I got our ladder out and snapped a few pictures while the momma bird was away.  I'm hoping to catch some further pictures as they get bigger and develop...right now they are scrawny mostly-featherless little things.

This morning as I was standing at the kitchen window getting bottles ready for my waking babies, I saw the momma bird land on our fence with a worm in her beak and then fly into the tree to the nest.  I thought about us two mommas (the bird and I) providing for our little ones.  I know I'm cheesy sometimes but me and momma bird just bonded a little over a morning meal.

 Notice any similarities? :) hehe 

 Obviously I took the pictures of the girls after the ones of the birds but it made me smile.
